Welcome

I'm unsure of how you came across this small insignificant section of the world wide web that I have claimed as my own. But the means do not matter, either way I welcome you. I hope perhaps I will leave you with a feeling of enlightenment, or at least maybe a good laugh. I'll settle for a chuckle though.

March Break Woooo!

Hey guys It's just a short post again. Just to update you all on what's going on. I'm back in my hometown of Moncton New Brunswick until Sunday or Monday. Which I'll then return to University and Fredericton. I'm working on another review but I've just been so busy with life it's hard. I'll have something soon. Also my youtube Channel is not dead.

Let's get this started

Hey this is a rather quick update. I'm working on a review of another game right now, but it's not quite done yet so we'll have to wait for that one. This weekend I spent staying with the person whom I'm trying to get as a roommate next year. Partly because I wanted to test out living with him, and partly because I had to cause my current roommate kicked me out so he could have sexy time.

My overall Synopsis of Brett is exactly what I expected. He's an awesome guy and easy to live with. Defiantly one of those people I can hang out with and not say a word to. A true friend. I dunno what his synopsis of me is, probably not nearly as good but oh well.

a hero of war that's what I'll be

So blog. Yes something I promised for my own Sanity I would keep. Well it's been a long time since my last post, and god damnit, a lot has happened in that time, why don't I summerize in list format.

Went to a club for the first time
Watched a best friend connect with someone new in a bar
Made out with someone not my girlfriend
confessed my sin to my girlfriend
had my girlfriend broke up with me
listed myself as single on Facebook
Got ragged on by a bunch of friends
went bar hopping with a best friend
almost died ridding in a vheicle operated by a drunk driver
went on a date
got told she just wanted to be friends
began writting in this blog

Somewhere in there I also spent like... 700$ but details details I did buy a rather large selection of games and CD's witeh that. Let's take a moment to examine them all.

First CD I bought is Three Day's Grace's newest album Life Starts Now. the titular track is amazing and it definatly is a great pick up. Overall the entire CD is a hit in my book.

I picked up a Flo Rida CD for one song, Right round.

I picked up two Rise against CDS but I've only gotten around to listening to one of them. I haven't popped in The Suffering and the Witness but I have listend to the other Album I bought, Appeal to Reason. I'm really loving the Songs Hero of War and Savior. I could listen to either on repeat all day I really love Savior for it helped me get over a girl I was in love with over the summer.

I also got Linkin Park's newest Underground CD. Underground 9 Demos.

The easiest way to describe it is like this.
Take some of your favourite Linkin Park songs, remix them slightly. reword the lyrics a little bit and get exposed to a previously unreleased Demo. Overall though it is a good CD and a must have for any Linkin Park Fan.

I also bought the bro code book during that visit to HMV. a good read amusing to say the least.

Onto the video games dun dun dun.

First up, is The Sims 3. I had some hardware problems with this so I haven't gotten too into it yet, but from what I did get to see (purely the person creator) I'm quite excited to delve deeper into this Life simulator upgrade.

Second on the plate is The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS. The use of the touch controlls is neat and definatly innovative. clicking on enimies for regular attacks, sliding the stylus between you and the enemy to do a slice or rotating it around Link to do a spin attack. Even the location of the stylus on the screen can change what you're doing when moving. close to link is a slow paced walk and at the edge is running make small circles and he'll roll.

Ship traveling is back but I don't know what exactily it is ,but I seem to be enjoying it more in the phantom hourglass then most people did in Windwaker. Having a fairy companion again is also quite nostalgic of Occarina of Time and the character is a nice touch. The naivty and spice of Tatl with the wisdom of Navi, minus the Hey Listen! The boat owner is a bit of a toll, but I like him, enough said.

Dungeons are as Dungeons are and the abilty to write on your Maps gives a slight feel of really being the one exploring the dangerous catacombs. It reinvents the Dungeon concept but keeps them Fun and innovative the puzzles being not too hard but not overtly simplifyed. you'll still find your self excaliaming the "WHAT THE FUCKS!" and the "OH I GET IT" That we're used to.

Overall the game is exactly what it is supposed to be. Fun. it involves you and drives you to explore every crevice, of coures rewarding you with appropiate prizes.

And now for my good old Playstation 3 I recently picked up White Knight Chronicals. It's a J-RPG Made by Level 5. The Amazing team of people who brought us Rouge Galaxy, THe Dark Cloud Series and other Playstation 2 Classics. I've been excited for this game for quite awhile and I must say, I am NOT disappointed.

The learning curve for the battle system is slightly steep partially I blame for the extremely small font on the help windows. It sends you into a Kayake with an oar that has only one paddle, when you need 2. Once you pick it up though it's fun and innovatie. I've yet to party up online, but I'm excited to and can't wait to.

The Story is a classic tale of swords and sorcery and love between the Pauper choosen by fate and the princess doomed by it. Right with the pathetic evil man whith little power and The imposing evil man designed to rival the main character's power. The Concept of incorperating your online avatar into the story's party and making him a silent partner was interesting, bugged me for about a minute, but I was just drawn into the pretty world.

The Game is just that pretty. Clothing hangs fairly well on bodies, it's not simply painted on. Hair has texture as does water the sky and the grass. Fur too. The faces are well defined and not half assed jobs, combining anime style graphics with realism. I'm extremely reminded of Engliand whenever I play it though, and I don't know why.

The voice actting is pretty good in my mind, as far as JRPGs voiceovers go. It feels fairly real and not forced (no Tidus Yuna laugh here :D) Overall though I must say the game is presented amazingly.

I haven't fully gotten a grapse of the techniqe and inventory system but I'm learning and enjoying. There's only one or two complaints I can make really. First off the AI sucks. They tried not to complicate it as much as FFXII did and thus did not condemn their game. But the price was any form of intelligence to the AI with their arsenal of Powerful spells. They just resort to wacking them with their stick.

Overall though the game is a must have for any RPG fan. :D

Well I guess for now that is enough, hopefully I will update more often from here on out, but it is 3 AM and I want sleep. Good night Internet and the world, sleep well.

I'm kinda like a sock, worthless alone but amazing when part of a set

I had an interesting weekend full of wild Yoshi - Monkey sex (Comment for an explanation of that) and hanging out with my friends back home in Moncton. I had been in a rut and feeling really home sick so going home really did me a lot of good. :) Also I recently met a dame on a dating site (Plentyoffish.com) and we've hit it off, I plan on asking her to make our relationship official on the 3rd of Wednesday.

I'd like to give a big shout out to a great friend of mine Corey Roy. His birthday is on the 2nd of this month.

I attempted to become my house's treasurer but, ended up failing on that election. I did get a much better reaction to my speech than I expected. Ahh well, can't live life without trying. It was really nice to see my best friends (Corey, Katie and Thomas) and I think I'm going to see 2/3 of them again next week. Yay possibly clubbing with Katie (and maybe getting in on some Resi (Resident Evil) too!

Right now I'm in my Information Systems class (and bored as hell in case you were wondering.) and now I have to go take care internet!

I got to wake in 4 hours... I really should get to sleep

Lately I've just not been sleeping. Maybe it's due to the stress of social pressures, running for my house's treasurer position and just being in university going to class (not to forget the fact also that I'm applying for Co-Op Work terms and trying to get a job in my hometown of Moncton, just to make life easier for me. It's a rather stressful load I guess, but I just got to keep trucking.

I saw the girl I like in meal hall today as is my custom. She smiled and waved today, last time we crossed paths she ignored my friendly wave... I'm rather confused about it, oh well.

GFX really aren't for me, I should stick to software development

It might be that I'm just more of a program functionalist and all my artistic talent is in my writing powers. I was supposed to do a lot of homework today, but I didn't. Oh well. I've been feeling like crap a lot lately, mostly due to the upcoming holiday and my as usual, singleness. Whatever, just keep on pushing through. WOW about 8 hours passed between the beginning of this post and the end of it, That's kind of amusing, during that time I gave a rather comical quote to bestow upon you.

me - Life's like a tootsie pop, crappy candy on the outside but awesome chocolate on the in, Locke -Hey I like the Candy

Anyways I bid you all adiu, I got homework to do.

First Post

Right now I'm sitting in a university Dormitory Room with two friends I made in this new stage in my life. We're watching my Blu-Ray copy of I Am Legend. The Sad scene happened, I won't say what that entailed for there's no reason to ruin the movie. Anyways, It's hard to believe I'm here, ask me about this time last year, I'd not of told you I'd be going to university. Well it doesn't matter now. I guess I really needed something to just get the poetic words, or the hopes worries and thoughts on my chest ,well off it so to speak, so thus I've created this little abode where you and I can get to know one another. :) This will be an interesting ride to say the least, This won't be a daily update, but I'll try to be fairly regular, at least every three days. So let's get a going, I got a movie climax to watch and I think we're properly introduced, Till text time, cia0. :)
